It is with great pleasure that I welcome you all to the Gulf Obesity Surgery Society International Conference. As the president of GOSS, I feel honored to have this opportunity to address this distinguished gathering of experts, researchers, and medical professionals from around the world.

Obesity continues to be a major health issue in the Gulf region, and its prevalence has been increasing at an alarming rate. It is our responsibility as medical professionals to address this issue and provide effective solutions to our patients.
